City of Lake Charles Epic Adventure Summer Camp Registration Opens Tuesday, April 8
On Tuesday, April 8, the City of Lake Charles Community Services Department will begin accepting registrations for its Epic Adventure Summer Camp program. Registration for the 2025 sessions will be available online only. Click the image immediately below to register. Registration will be open through Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Epic Adventure Summer Camp is open to children ages 5-10 with limited space available at each site. Cost is $350 for the 8-week camp. This price includes two t-shirts and breakfast and lunch daily.
Epic Adventure Summer Camp will run from June 2 through July 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Camp will not be held on Thursday, June 19 or Friday, July 4, due to City-observed holidays.
Each week, campers will embark on a new adventure with weekly themes set to include the following: Outta this World, Everyday Heroes, Where the Wild Things Are, Wild, Wild West, Party in the USA, Mission: STEM possible, Lights, Camera, Action! and Splish, Splash, Bash.
Site locations include Bellard Community Center (2808 Hillcrest Dr.); College Oaks Community Center (3518 Ernest St.); Henry Heights Community Center (801 East School St.) and Donald Ray Stevens Community Center (1619 Cessford St.).
New this year, camp t-shirts will be mandatory on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays will be free dress day with costumes matching the week’s theme encouraged. Additional camp t-shirts can be ordered at the time of registration. The cost is $10 per shirt.
Thanks to the generous support of Phillips 66, Epic Adventures Summer Campers will have the opportunity to participate in one to two swim days per week to encourage water safety and youth education on the navigation of pools. Swim days are optional and transportation is provided by CPSB bus drivers. Swim days come at no additional charge to campers.
A parent meeting will be held the week of May 19-23, and parents will receive more information upon the completion of registration.
