On Thursday, April 3, two community meetings will be held to provide residents with the opportunity to provide feedback on a City of Lake Charles Safety Action Plan currently in development. These meetings will take place from 5-7 pm, with one meeting being held at the MLK Community Center (2009 North Simmons St.) and the other at the University Park Community Center (1001 Central Parkway).
The Safety Action Plan development is being coordinated through Alliance Transportation Group and is funded through a US Department of Transportation Safe Streets for All grant the City received. The goal of the Safety Action Plan is to eliminate fatal and severe crashes on local roadways.
