On Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, the City of Lake Charles and Sasol’s Nature in Focus Initiative will present a free event titled Gardening in Spring. The event will take place from 9-11 am at Tuten Park (3801 Nelson Rd.).
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about preparing their garden for the spring growing season. The SWLA Master Naturalists will be on hand to explore the park’s back trails with guests, helping them discover the signs of spring while learning about native plants and pollinators. 
There will also be an opportunity to paint your own personal rock to place in your spring garden!
The free and open to public event is hosted in partnership with Sasol and the Southwest Louisiana Master Naturalists. Nature in Focus is a signature program of Sasol and falls under the City’s Partners in Parks Initiative.
