On Saturday, February 8, 2025, the City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative and Indorama will host a Bayou Bash Gator Meet-N-Greet, from 9 -11 am at the Lakefront Alligator Pond, located just east of Visit Lake Charles (1205 N. Lakeshore Dr.). 

This free event, offered in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, the Southwest Louisiana Master Naturalists and Visit Lake Charles, will offer attendees the opportunity to hold baby alligators and learn more about their natural habitat. The community is also encouraged to come out and see the newly refurbished alligator pond and say hello to our lakefront alligators!

The Gator Meet-N-Greet will take place rain or shine! In the event of inclement weather. Indoor activities will also take place inside Visit Lake Charles.
