On Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 4 -6 p.m., the City of Lake Charles Recreation and Parks Department will team up with EXIT Southern Realty to host Blanket Bingo at the Arcade Amphitheatre, located on the grounds of the Lake Charles Event Center (900 Lakeshore Dr.). 

For a $20 entry fee, participants will receive one bingo card and a chance to win up to 25 prizes, worth $50 each. Proceeds will benefit the programs of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and the City’s Partners in Parks Fund at the Community Foundation SWLA. 

Food trucks will be on site and participants are encouraged to bring their own blanket for an early evening of fun.

Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained volunteers who speak in court for the best interests of a child who has been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect. Volunteers are ordinary people, from all walks of life, who step up to assist judges with getting to know the child and their specific case. To learn more about CASA, visit www.fyca.org. 

Since its launch in 2018, the Partners in Parks Initiative has generated opportunities for lasting partnerships leading to transformative changes at parks citywide, and enhanced programming that is attracting and engaging a new generation of park-goers.
