The City of Lake Charles, Louisiana

On Saturday, December 6, a panel of judges scored parade entries on presentation, performance, decorations, originality, and safety during the Light up the Lake Christmas Celebration. Awards were presented to the top-scoring entries. 

In the Christmas Street Parade, trophies were awarded to: Best Decorated Vehicle, Geico Insurance; Best Specialty Group, J F Kennedy Cougars; 1^st Place Float, Hamilton Christian Academy; 2^nd Place Float, Queen of Pink; 3^rd Place Float, Calcasieu Parish Library;  Lake Charles Toyota/Scion has been the official sponsor of the Lake Charles Christmas Parade since 2001.

Winners of the Lighted Boat Parade received plaques provided by 92.9 The Lake FM. Recipients were: Best of Show, Miss Emily, Captain Martin Hoffpauir; Best Overall Crew, My Bud, Captain Richard Cole. For 22ft and over: 1st Place, Cayenne, Captain Mike Nodier, 2nd Place, Sleaux Meaux, Captain Archie Fruge; 3^rd Place, Wonderlost, Captain Dean Henagan. For 21ft and less; 1^st Place, Mager Plus Gateau, Captain Bryan Bergeron; and 2^nd Place Cape Horn.
