Production
The Water Production Department is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the six water treatment plants that serve the City of Lake Charles. The GH West Plant is staffed 24 hours a day. From this site the other plants are monitored and controlled by our experienced operators. Our maintenance team performs all repairs to equipment, monitors and adjusts chemical feeds, and ensures that all equipment is performing adequately.
 
Distribution
The Distribution Department is responsible for the installation, repair, replacement and maintenance of all water mains, services and fire hydrants within the distribution system. The majority of this work is performed by this department with the remainder being performed by contractors and developers. We also work closely with city engineers, area plumbers, builders, highway department and fire department.
