Tennis Under the Oaks, a program aimed at teaching area youth the fundamentals of tennis, will kick off on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Huber Park (2401 4th Avenue).

 

Lessons through this free program will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. through Thursday, September 19, 2019. Tennis Under the Oaks is available to boys and girls ages 8-13 years old. Participants are encouraged to bring their own rackets.

 

The program, an initiative of the Partners in Parks program, is being presented by local nonprofit What Works, the City of Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, Lake Area Community Tennis Association and the Lake Charles Racquet Club.
